NJ Touchdown Clubs Is Now NFL Flag Affiliated
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NJ Touchdown Club LLC Joins Forces with NFL FLAG to Expand Youth Football Opportunities in New Jersey
Bergen County, NJ — May 1 — NJ Touchdown Club LLC is proud to announce its official affiliation with NFL FLAG, the premier youth flag football league associated with the National Football League (NFL). This exciting partnership brings new opportunities for young athletes across New Jersey to experience the fun, fast-paced, and inclusive world of flag football under the guidance of one of the sport’s most recognized organizations.
As an official NFL FLAG league, NJ Touchdown Club will now offer boys, girls, and co-ed flag football programs backed by the highest standards in safety, sportsmanship, and player development. The affiliation also grants local participants access to exclusive NFL-branded gear, pathways to national tournaments, and the chance to be part of one of the fastest-growing youth sports in America.
For the past three years, the NJ Touchdown Club has focused only on mini-camps and personal lessons for tackle football players. But watching the NFL Flag Youth championships on the NFL Network last year changed the director’s perspective of the sport, as he was stunned by the level of play.
"We can’t be more thrilled to be a part of the NFL Flag network," said Michael Perrota, founder and director of NJ Touchdown Club. "It’s been a long but rewarding process, because I wanted this business plan to be right for everybody. Partnering with NFL FLAG opens the door for female-only leagues and clinics, and gives the kids in the region a direct connection to the NFL experience."
NFL FLAG serves over 500,000 youth athletes across all 50 states and offers non-contact football for boys and girls aged 5 to 17. With its emphasis on inclusion and skill development, the program has become a popular alternative to traditional tackle football, providing a fun and safe environment for kids of all abilities.
Registration for NJ Touchdown Club’s upcoming NFL FLAG season will be announced at a later date. Clinics will be available by appointment.

NFL Flag is the largest Youth Flag Football League in the United States, serving young athletes ages 4 to 17.
NFL FLAG leagues are no-contact, giving boys and girls of all abilities a chance to develop their fundamental football skills in a positive, inclusive environment.
Our mission is to empower youth athletes and instill a lifelong passion for flag football through leagues that are engaging, fun, and accessible for everyone.
With the support of the NFL, we provide a structured opportunity for kids to discover the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship—both on and off the field.
The NFL FLAG tournament series brings together leagues from across the country to showcase their talent and compete against top teams. The NFL FLAG Regional Tournament Series is an invite-only event, where winners from each region are invited to face off at the national NFL FLAG Championships.
While youth participation in sports has declined 13 percent over the last decade, flag football has become one the fastest growing youth sports in the country. In fact, the number of 6-to-12-year-olds playing has increased by 38 percent, to more than 1.5 million, since 2015. And NFL FLAG is leading the way as the largest flag football league in the U.S., with more than 1,800 leagues in 50 states.
NFL FLAG is dedicated to creating more opportunities for female athletes to participate in flag football. We know that the game will only get stronger with the more girls who play. In addition to implementing girls-only leagues and tournaments, we’ve also teamed up with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and RCX Sports to make women’s flag football a sanctioned college sport for the first time in history.
